The surrounding reality drowns out everything with its noise. The soul craves silence, peace and harmony with God. It will never find anything good in harmony with the world. The kingdom of your soul is not of this world, so pure madness is any attempt to merge. It’s as if you wanted to combine fire and water. But there is a way that makes everything fit together perfectly. – The realization that you own nothing , that nothing is yours, and so you can give everything voluntarily or lose everything. Everything you have you owe to God and is yours as long as God wants it. If the Beloved Savior says “leave everything and follow Me,” why don’t you do it?
Why do you grieve His loving Heart?
Our Lord Jesus Christ gives us so much and wants to give even more, and we don’t want to leave even what is not ours anyway. We get so attached to material things that we can’t give them up, risking the loss of salvation. If we don’t understand what happens in our miserable life on earth, how can we understand the spiritual life which is much more important ?
Everyone familiar with the Gospel knows that only a few will be saved, but the problem is that these all think that they are the few. Since the beginning of the Church, this is a truth that is very well known, and it was also said when the churches were full and the faith flourished. There were no such problems as today . But surely ? Why was it constantly reminded that the door is tight and repeated that only a few? As with everything in the Catholic faith the answer is simple.
God abhors all the sacrifices that people make, if there is no full devotion to God in them, if they are stained with lies and hypocrisy. After all, it is known that our Lord Jesus Christ knows our souls and thus our thoughts He knows who we really are and what is in our souls. We can not hide anything, and so participation in all, after all, so beautiful, Catholic rites can not hide the dirt of the soul. You may be poor , dirty and sickly so that you may be ashamed to enter a church and kneel down somewhere stealthily and pray a pure prayer – as pure as your soul. And your words will go straight to the heart of God.
You may know only one prayer – “Our Father”. The purity of your soul will replace everything. Everything is simple. Not knowledge and not external practices determine salvation. These are just extras, which may be beautiful in the eyes of God, but can also offend the Beloved Savior. Yes, offend. No, not because you have sins and participate in them , but because you don’t repent and repent of those sins, but seek justification for them.
Oh, a pure soul is so beautiful, it leads you so close to God. Full of faith and hope for salvation. It is she who will carry you on wings to Heaven. It is the purity of the soul that is the determinant of your happiness. Not money, knowledge, a healthy body and all the treasures of the world.
The world leads you along winding roads and even highways to Hell. The purity of your soul like a carpet of purple lining the narrow path that will lead you to Heaven.
