I write to the wall,
To the barriers we raise,
Lie upon lie,
Slowly but surely
We climb upward,
Yet truly plummet down.
.
I reach out my hand,
Pointing the way.
Truth will shatter what is sinister.
You trace our fate in the sand,
We build our homes on sand,
Deserts mark our paths.
.
We gaze at fleeting mirages,
Blind to rocky islets,
Too hard, too real for us,
Stripped of falsehood, yet too raw.
Washed by the water of life
Steadfast, unyielding
Like a pure soul
Filled with Your love.
I cry out in the wilderness,
Breaking down walls
With loneliness and silence,
Where I found You.
Lies devour all that glitters,
But not what stands on the rock.
