White Christmas, full of snow and frost —
That’s what we long for every year.
Beautiful trees and plenty of perfect gifts.

But is this what we truly want?
Is this the peak of all our dreams?

So say: “Merry Christmas, I love you” —
And that is enough,
Love will mend what has gone wrong.

We remember our childhood years,
A joyful time, when snow reached our knees,
When we searched for the star in the sky.

Where are the children of those days?
Where is the joy we once knew?

Maybe it’s gone because we no longer want children,
Cats and dogs are enough for us now.
