Catholic during the Great Apostasy

Let us build the Church in souls on the rock of our faith !!!

The Fall of the Empire of Lies – Jeremiah as a Warning for Our Era

Jeremiah was a unique, solitary prophet who was not only ignored but completely rejected from beginning to end. Even the most hardened listened momentarily to Jesus Christ or John the Baptist. To Jeremiah – they did not.

Jeremiah had no “moment of popularity.” There were no crowds, no interest:

“And they have not hearkened, nor inclined their ear: but have walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart.” (Jer 7:24, Geneva Bible)

“And they said, We will not hearken.” (Jer 44:16, Geneva Bible)

When he spoke the truth, they wanted to kill him:

“And they said, Come, and let us imagine some device against Jeremiah… let us smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.” (Jer 18:18, Geneva Bible)

Jeremiah was a prophet of suffering and tears. He brought something unique to Scripture – the prophetic lament of a man who loves his people, though they hate him. He is a prefigurement of Christ before the Incarnation – without disciples, without support, without a crowd. He suffered spiritually and physically because of the truth he proclaimed.

“Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth!” (Jer 15:10, Geneva Bible)

Even when he prayed for the people, the Lord said to him:

“Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.” (Jer 7:16, Geneva Bible)

From a human perspective, Jeremiah was terrifyingly alone, and thus he lamented. Yet he is an excellent example for those who, in these times, try to convey the truth to people and, as is well known, rarely succeed. People are fed lies and love them because they flatter their sinful souls. If you speak the truth and draw logical conclusions but do not identify with any specific group, you are already doomed to rejection, silence, and, judging by the messages we receive, even to burning in hell. It is clear that no one is interested in the truth given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ, only in someone’s statements that generally fit the situation in which a person currently finds themselves.

Comparing Jeremiah’s era with today allows us to better understand the situation we are in. It also enables us to see the lies of modernists and the world differently, to discern the truth that can only be known with God.

**Widespread Deafness to God’s Word**

Jeremiah cried out: “I have risen early in the morning, and spoken, but ye would not hear: I called you, but ye would not answer.” (Jer 7:13, Geneva Bible)

Similarly, the prophet Isaiah saw: “For this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord.” (Isa 30:9, Geneva Bible)

Today’s societies – including significant parts of the hierarchy – reject the truth of Revelation. They speak of “dialogue,” “mercy” without truth, “changing times,” but they do not listen to God. Those who speak the truth are ignored, marginalized, or even persecuted – just like Jeremiah. This does not apply only to faith but to all aspects of our lives.

**False Prophets and Spiritual Deception**

In Jeremiah, we read: “Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision, and divination, and vanity, and the deceit of their own heart.” (Jer 14:14, Geneva Bible)

“My people are such as these: the prophets prophesy lies, and the priests clap their hands, and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” (Jer 5:31, Geneva Bible)

Today, false “prophets” speak of the “synodal way,” “integral ecology,” “new theology,” a “Church open to all” – but they are silent about sin, judgment, hell, and the need for repentance. Bishops, who should guard the deposit of faith, remain silent or applaud. People prefer to listen to them because they say what the world wants, and the world, as we know, hates the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

**Betrayal of the Priesthood and Apostasy of the Religious Elite**

Jeremiah: “For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness: and from the prophet even unto the priest, every one dealeth falsely.” (Jer 6:13, Geneva Bible)

“The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.” (Jer 2:8, Geneva Bible)

Today, many clergy do not preach Christ but a new “gospel” based on human concepts. The mark of betrayal in the priesthood is the abandonment of Tradition, the trivialization of the liturgy, the promotion of heresy, and collaboration with the world. Apostasy does not come from the simple people but from those who “held the law” and now no longer know it. As the saying goes, a fish rots from the head.

**The Illusion of Peace and Security**

Jeremiah: “They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.” (Jer 6:14, Geneva Bible)

Today, the hierarchical Church proclaims peace with everyone – with the world, other religions, ideologies. They speak of “fraternity,” but they do not mention the war waged against Christians, who have become the most persecuted religion in the world. Almost daily, they are murdered, driven from their homes, and even forbidden to pray or proclaim their faith, labeled as hate speech. In reality, there is no peace: the greatest battle for souls in history is ongoing, and many do not even know they are at war.

**The Fall of Worship and the Temple**

Jeremiah: “Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord, are these. For if ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely… and come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord.” (Jer 7:8–11, Geneva Bible)

Today, the new liturgy, stripped of the sacred, has become a place of deception – sins are justified, sinners are not admonished. The “house of God” has become a place of compromise with sin, even its celebration. As in Jeremiah’s time, the people think external rituals will ensure salvation – but the Lord does not dwell in what is profaned.

Thus, God will always be with those who submit to His will and do not compromise with Satan. But how many are they?

**The comparison of Babylon from the times of Jeremiah and Isaiah to today’s global civilization, what many call the “system,” provides a strikingly accurate and prophetic parallel.**

**Babylon – A World Power Full of Pride and the Illusion of Immortality**

“And she said, I will be a lady forever: so that she laid not this to heart, neither did remember the latter end of it.” (Isa 47:7, Geneva Bible)

“Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children.” (Isa 47:8, Geneva Bible)

Today, the Western (and global) system says: “We have technology, we have power, we are indestructible.” It promotes eternal youth, self-sufficiency, the pride of civilization. Man is equal to God; he can do everything himself. Placing man first and dethroning God is a satanic plan brought to life by Freemasonry. A prime example of this is the new Mass, a Masonic Protestant feast that has nothing to do with the Catholic faith.

**Babylon as the Center of Trade, Gold, Goods, and Corruption**

“Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures…” (Isa 2:7, Geneva Bible)

“And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms… shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.” (Isa 13:19, Geneva Bible)

Today: A civilization based on trade, consumption, the export of lust, advertising, digital economy – the spiritual Babylon is a system where everything has a price, but nothing has value. Only material goods matter.

**Babylon Enchants Nations and Manipulates Knowledge**

“For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee…” (Isa 47:10, Geneva Bible)

“Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit…” (Isa 47:12, Geneva Bible)

Today: A system based on propaganda, mass psychology, technology, the “magic of science,” that is, pseudo-science, because it has become a mere tool for confirming lies. It enchants people with a false sense of progress, prosperity, and control. It manipulates the truth.

**Babylon as Spiritual Decay and the Shame of Women**

“Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.” (Isa 47:2–3, Geneva Bible)

Today: A culture of nudity, debauchery, pornography, shame transformed into “freedom” – the spiritual Babylon is a world that sees progress in disgrace.

**Babylon – Persecutor of the Saints and Drunk with the Blood of the Righteous**

From the Apocalypse of St. John, but referring to the same symbol:

“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.” (Rev 17:4–6, Geneva Bible)

Today: A system that hates the truth, mocks holiness, persecutes the righteous, censors the Gospel, and replaces it with false spirituality or ideology. The ban on even silent prayer outside abortion clinics is clear evidence that the world, or rather the system, has one lord, and that is Satan.

**The Fall of Babylon – Sudden, Irreversible, Total**

“Babylon is fallen, is fallen, and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.” (Isa 21:9, Geneva Bible)

“And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.” (Isa 13:19, Geneva Bible)

“It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation…” (Isa 13:20, Geneva Bible)

Today: This is a warning – this system is built on pride and will fall, like every empire that fights against God. In a sudden and definitive way.

I don’t need to be a prophet to predict the fall; it is so obvious that only fools cannot see it. No matter how we analyze it – from the perspective of faith or purely human history. Everything built on human pride and lies will sooner or later turn to ruins.

Once again, we write about the parallels between history and our times, and one thing is certain: no one, or almost no one, will care.

Pascal, centuries ago, doubted whether people were capable of accepting the truth, and now there can be no illusions: No, they are not capable. They are characterized by openness to lies and sin.

This system will fall, and no one will want to remember it, but it is up to you alone where your soul will be.

Truth is demanding. It is alien to the world. That is why Jeremiah is so important: he shows that even in total rejection, God’s truth endures. It does not depend on the number of likes or followers. It depends only on fidelity to God. And that is why Jeremiah is a prophet for our times.

“Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.” (Isa 6:10, Geneva Bible)

About Me

Let us build the Church in souls on the rock of our faith. God is Spirit and we should worship Him in spirit and truth. Now in the times of apostasy of the Catholic Church administration, when very often we do not have access to real priests, this is very important. It will allow us not only to survive, but also to strengthen our faith. The truth, even if it is hard for us, always comes from God. Let’s not live in a lie. The father of lies is Satan. Let us remember this. The truth is the determinant by which I am guided when I write for several years on the Polish website I founded http://www.niewolnikmaryi.com and it will be the same here – in the English version.

Ps. I encourage suggestions for the translation. It will help me a lot.
