To whom, or rather for whom, did our Lord Jesus Christ come into the world? For the righteous? For the spotless? No! So for whom?
He was born not in a stable, as it is nicely put, but in a barn, among cattle and the stench of manure. He was welcomed by shepherds, the lowest social class of that time. That is how the King was born. He came for the worst, He knocked on their door!
“Repent!”—with this message, He stood face to face with sinners, often dining at the same table with those who were like lepers to others.
Where are His followers now?
Locked in fortresses with the chosen ones from the front pews.
They speak, they speak, and they only speak. Beautiful sermons, grand messages!
Locked behind walls, they only display their splendid yet empty words through windows. Sometimes someone hears them, sometimes someone turns back and stands before closed doors, knocking and knocking and knocking—softer and softer, less and less, until they stop and kneel in the gutter, drowned on one side by mistrust and rejection, and on the other by the satanic laughter of scorn for the betrayed.
The great priests continue preaching their great sermons within their closed circles…
…and Satan’s shepherds are tearing the sheep apart
