Are you going to Bethlehem?
Who will you arrive there with?
Whom will you greet?
These are the questions you should ask yourself if you want to properly prepare for the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
What gifts you buy and what you eat doesn’t matter in the slightest; placing such things first can only offend God.
Contrary to popular belief, it also doesn’t matter what rituals you perform.
Love and Truth come into the world solely to be reborn in our souls.
The Word was first and it is the Truth. The Truth without which there is neither faith, hope, nor love. Only it allows us to be born anew, without falsehood and deception.
Carp, cakes, and gifts are like the nails that pierced our Beloved Savior to the cross, which we begin to erect at Christmas. We are like Herod, killing innocent children. We reject the True Light of Life in favor of trinkets of wood and stone offered to us by a world steeped in lies and hatred. We want to kill innocence born of truth. Every message we replace with idolatrous rites, looking for the slightest sign of true faith to kill it just as Herod killed the children. Then what remains is only the collecting of the nails of our sins throughout life, with which we nail our Lord Jesus Christ to the cross, thinking that we ultimately kill Him because our souls are empty or soaked in darkness.
Love is innocent and pure, so by loving wrongdoings, you profess not love but hatred.
Truth is one, without any rainbow or brown shades. If you reject the truth, your father is Satan, not God.
Think about whether your soul is being born anew, or just nodding along to modernist novelties that have nothing to do with God.
Oh, what a beautiful Christmas tree and nativity scene so beautifully prepared!
Is that all you can say about Christmas?
