Catholic during the Great Apostasy

Eternal God, who art righteousness

in your mercy, you watch what man does

and wait for the last of the faithful to escape.

O Beloved, I know the wickedness that is done.

Those who would lead Your people are filled with treachery

They drink Judas’ blood and forget You

.

Men are worthy of Thy wrath but we who carry our cross need a little water of life

.

They have cast off the crosses adorning the souls of the just

putting on a crown of human greatness

they thought they were building a crown of gold

but they have wreathed a diadem of vipers around their throats
Thy Holy Cross they cast down
Thousands of gallows they erected shouting We are great

.

Men are worthy of Thy wrath but we who carry our cross need a little water of life

.

But, my God, on my knees I beseech thee

have mercy on those who have not dishonoured themselves by treason

straying, among the ruins of faith

disempowered, maybe even frightened

but, Lord, they only look to You

They do not worship the Vatican beast

Nor do they pay homage to the first beast wounded and healed

.

Men are worthy of Thy wrath but we who carry our cross need a little water of life

.

O my God, do not abandon your children

shorten these torments shorten the time of scorn and despair

let the arm of justice fall on the unfaithful

especially on those who deceive and twist

turn truth into falsehood and say they are your priests

.

O Lord, Thou hast said, it were better for them to hang millstones about their necks

cast them down into the river which they have turned into a sewer with their blasphemies

Let them kill no more souls so few of us are left

Have mercy on the last Catholics

Worthy of eternal death are those

Who have desecrated the temple with their abominable rituals

Stand up for us, do not leave us alone

Destroy the heresies of deviant prayer

shorten our waiting time

In your mercy not on the brood of vipers but on those who stand by you

crush our enemies shut the mouths of those who speak evil

.

The Lord has heard our prayers soon what must become ashes will be ignited

time will be shortened and heads from the greatest traitors will slowly fall

the time of contempt and desolation will come to an end and the time of punishment and justice will be unleashed

a time of liberation for those who persevere.
