Catholic during the Great Apostasy

Mother, my Mother!

You guide me always there

where Thy Son

where our God is

where respite comes

for I know truly know

that at the cross we will meet

that you will hold me close to Your heart

saying tenderly Don’t be afraid

Mother, my Mother!

stretch my arms

I see nails

I see death

but You are always there

that’s why I don’t give up

with the sword of sorrow Thou hast pierced

yet you continue to support me

Pain tears my flesh

darkness overshadows the whole world

be here with me

be here always

for without you there is no me

Mother, my Mother!

I want to die on the cross

take away sins

take away evil

Your son will have it easier

but when the time comes

and nails me to the cross

look upon me with a kindly eye

hold my hand

cheer my heart

so that I may endure suffering

That I may not forget Thy guidance

Mother, my Mother!

Your son is God and I am poor dust

He has loved you

He died for you

and then rose again, and you may rise with Him

and so it is time…

No it is not the time of death

it is a time of struggle for resurrection
